Farm Tour Terms & Conditions – Scotchwood Farm
1. Bookings & Payment
All tours must be booked in advance through our online scheduler.
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot.
Bookings are confirmed once payment is received.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations with more than 48 hours’ notice are eligible for a refund or reschedule.
Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.
We’ll always do our best to accommodate rescheduling with reasonable notice.
As this is a working farm, we may need to reschedule due to weather, animal welfare, or other unforeseen circumstances.
3. Arrival
Please arrive on time so you don’t miss out on the experience.
Tours run to schedule and may not be extended for late arrivals.
4. A Working Farm Environment
Scotchwood Farm is a real, working farm
Surfaces are uneven, animals are unpredictable, and conditions can change quickly.
By attending, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.
5. Around the Cattle
Our Highland cattle are generally quiet and friendly, but they are still large animals.
All interactions will be guided, please follow instructions at all times.
Do not approach, feed, or touch animals unless invited to do so.
6. Children
Children 12 years and above are very welcome but must be supervised closely at all times.
Parents/guardians are responsible for their safety and behaviour.
7. What to Wear
Enclosed, sturdy footwear you don't mind getting cow poo on is a must (no sandals)
Dress for the weather. Think sun protection, hats, rain coat, umbrella.
8. Biosecurity
To protect our animals, visitors may be asked about recent contact with livestock.
Footwear must be clean upon arrival. We may provide disinfectant if required.
9. Behaviour
We want everyone (humans and animals) to have a good experience.
We reserve the right to end a tour if behaviour is unsafe or disrespectful.
10. Photos & Socials
You’re welcome to take photos — we love seeing them shared.
By attending, you consent to incidental photos/videos being used on our social media unless you let us know otherwise.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage sustained during your visit.
Visitors enter the property at their own risk.
12. Accessibility
Due to the nature of the farm terrain, some areas may not be accessible to all visitors.
Please contact us prior to booking to discuss specific accessibility needs.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
